Melinda Crawford, who happens to be my wife, is one of the best Scottish fiddlers around. She
performs all over the country and even in Europe, judges competitions, and has released a solo CD.

Another composer of new music who is based in Oklahoma. His music is rhythmically exciting,
motivically inventive, and conceptually innovative.
This internationally renowned trio premiered my composition, Rhapsody, and has made the
combination of clarinet, violin, and piano into a unique medium single-handedly.
Internationally acclaimed violinist Kia-Hui Tan has performed extensively throughout the world. She
has premiered and performed my composition, Valediction, in many locations in the U.S. and
China. She currently serves as a violin professor at The Ohio State University.
