The Muse in Music - Violinist Frank Almond in Conversation about Quarantine and Listening Picks

By, Dan Perttu

In this episode of my "Muse in Music" blog, I am so happy to be interviewing violinist Frank Almond, former long-time concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony as well as concertmaster of the Rotterdam Philharmonic and London Philharmonic. He and I discuss the trials of quarantine for musicians and his recommendations of unique recordings for listening during these difficult times. His recommendations include the Six Violin Sonatas and Partitas by Bach, and recordings of the Brahms Ballades and various piano works of Debussy by the eccentric pianist Arturo Michelangeli, among others.
